Spelling Bee
2026 Spelling Bee is January 16th, 2026 at Spring Hill Elementary LMC & Middle School LMC.
Research consistently shows the power of vocabulary and spelling in determining academic destiny. Students with weak spelling and vocabularies tend to decline academically, while students with stronger spelling and vocabularies tend to learn faster.
Students in Grades 4 and 5 participate in classroom level spelling competitions and winners advance to the district level competition. The School District of Wisconsin Dells Spelling Bee competition will advance 5 spellers to the final round; the Central Wisconsin Talented and Gifted (CWTAG) Spelling Bee. Students in Grades 6-8 participate in classroom level spelling competitions and winners advance to district level competition. The top 2 district winners then advance to a Scripps sanctioned spelling bee.
