    Junior Class

All juniors will be attending the Wisconsin Education Fair on Thursday at Sun Prairie High School.  The fair is an opportunity to speak with representatives from Wisconsin Higher Education institutions and the military.  In order to be prepared to make the most of one’s time on Thursday, today during ASP you will receive a list of schools in attendance and suggested questions to help focus conversations and gather information. We also would like you to check out the Wisconsin Education Fair website.  Ideally, one will also discuss Thursday’s trip with one’s parents or caregivers. While it is not a bad idea to map out one’s plan ahead of time, we also encourage you to stay open to all of the possibilities. By that, I mean for those of you are thinking only of attending a 4-year university, do not discount the value of a Madison, Fox Valley or other technical college. On the flip side, for those of you who are thinking that one of the UW System schools is out of reach, you would be amazed at all of the pathways to admissions so don’t sell yourself short. Finally, for those who are planning to go directly into the workforce after graduation, know that many employers may award financial incentives for those with post-high school training and credits and some will even pay for you to get the training so having an idea of what is available is still beneficial. The bottom line is that we want you to have as many options available as possible and Thursday is a great chance to learn more about those possibilities. A reminder that you will depart from school around 8 am and return in time for lunch. One must have your signed permission slip on file in the office in order to attend the field trip.  See Ms. Hall in the main office if you need another copy.
