This course deals with the management of small companion animals, also known as pets. Topics include: U.S. Pet Industry, career opportunities, general animal nutrition, types of small animals, and the care they require as well as health, housing, and reproduction. Examples of animals covered in this class includes, but is not limited to, dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, chinchillas, ferrets and fish. Students with an interest in animals or veterinary science should take this class as a great introduction to animal care.
