Landscape Design

Prerequisites:  Successful completion of Botany 1
Block, 1 term. 0.5 credit

This course deals with the management and care of landscaping and its related fields. Topics include: career opportunities, landscape design, construction materials, plant material usage, economic analysis, and landscape maintenance.  A large part of this course will involve actual hands-on work to gain a better understanding of landscaping techniques.  Students will be working with a professional landscaper to landscape the Building Trade class’ house project.  Completing this course will satisfy one-half credit of the high school fine arts requirement.
