The School District of Wisconsin Dells supports our learners, teachers, and administrators in transitioning to an educator evaluation system based on effectiveness. In August 2012 the Board of Education approved the District moving forward as participants in the Teacher Effectiveness Project (TEP) pilot beginning the 2012-2013 school year. This is a collaborative effort between the State of Wisconsin, Cooperative Educational Services Agency (CESA) Six of Oshkosh, CESA Five of Portage, and the School District of Wisconsin Dells.

TEP is an outcome of Wisconsin's ESEA, also know as No Child Left Behind, waiver. The ESEA Waiver articulates expectations for education in the State of Wisconsin. Those expectations are explained in multiple places including the waiver itself, Wisconsin Act166, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction 'Every Child a Graduate' agenda 2017.
